What to do after graduation.

  1. Prepare for success on your board examination by obtaining at least 80% on the practice exam.

  2. Apply to take the board examination with MBLEx

  3. Choose the date and location of your exam that allows enough time to be prepared, but not too long.

  4. Notify INHE of your MBLEx application so our school can verify you with MBLEx. We are unable to issue transcripts or provide verifications for any student that is not in good financial standing. After taking your exam, notify INHE of your results

  5. After passing the MBLEx examination, go to https://idfpr.illinois.gov/profs/massagetherapy.html to find a convenient location for your fingerprints under the Fingerprint Agency List.

  6. Apply for your Illinois license at https://online-dfpr.micropact.com/

  7. Make sure to submit the PDF copy of your official massage transcript when applying for your license online.

  8. For licensure applications with states other than Illinois, check with their licensing board for requirements.

Preparing for the MBLEx

Successful completion of the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Examination is required for licensure in most states, including Illinois. Graduates are encouraged to begin structured exam preparation soon after completing the program while academic knowledge and clinical concepts remain fresh.
